Inka Rail tour Machu Picchu one day

To start the tour to Machu Picchu, You must be at least one day before departure to Cusco 1200 kms. southeast of Lima (Peru). It can be visited only by the railroad (trains) and the other walking through the ancient Inca Trail in two or four days, this tour will use only the train service.

Description of the excursion to Machu Picchu

Pick you up at the hotel in the city of Cusco 2:30 hours before departure of your train, and take you to the train station, located in the town of Ollantaytambo, then board the train of the company “INKARAIL” and begin the journey from the village of Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes (2000 m) which has a duration of 13:40 hours, where our guide will be waiting, we went to the bus station, to climb 400 m in height, a zigzag way for 30 minutes to reach the incredible wonder of the world “The Sanctuary of Machupicchu”, known as “The Lost City of the Incas”.

Upon arrival at the citadel of Machu Picchu, we pass the control, where our tickets will deliver revenue and where we will begin our guided tour, visiting the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows and cemeteries, some for more than two horas. Then will be given free time to stroll around the citadel and take their food in one of several restaurants in Aguas Calientes or if you wish at Santuary Lodge Hotel (lunch is on your own).

In the afternoon take the train back to Ollantaytambo (depending on departure time of your train), the return will follow the same route as the outward journey and on arrival at the train station in Ollantaytambo, we will be waiting to take hotels in Cusco.
